Thanasis Polyzoidis on behalf of topio7 is featured in the special edition of LIFO, ADM24 Vision ADM #, a collaboration between Design Ambassador / Archisearch and LIFO, discussing “sponge cities” and how this concept can be applied in Athens.

This topic is particularly relevant in the current context of urban resilience during the climate crisis. It represents a global shift that is being adopted by architects and landscape architects, highlighting the need for its exploration in Greece now more than ever.

Our team, topio7, participated in the Conference “LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE +20” in Thessaloniki from November 2-4, where we shared our thoughts on the methods, practices, and strategies through which landscape architecture can contribute to the reclamation of large-scale abandoned sites of former extractive exploitation.
